Keep Maine Working – COVID-19

Moving Forward Together

Like the rest of the state, Manpower Maine is practicing physical distancing in order to do our part to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Our team is actively hiring while working remotely. We are committed to #KeepMaineWorking and want to be of service to you.

In order to serve the people of Maine we have taken the following steps:

-We are continuing to monitor and implement guidance from the CDC, the WHO, the Maine Division of Disease Surveillance, the American Staffing Association, the National Safety Council, and our global parent ManpowerGroup.

-We have implemented a work from home strategy for our staff, and have brought the full use of technology to bear so that the Manpower team members that you are accustomed to working with are fully functional and remain ready to assist you.

-We are following CDC recommended practices for managing associate reports of illness, and will be as transparent with you as possible regarding illness or exposure of any associate assigned to your location.  Safety and health are our top priority.

As we are all in this together, we have outlined below what we are asking for from the people we serve.

General Guidance For Everyone

With Maine and Federal CDC guidance, Governor Mills enacted a Stay at Home order for all non-essential personal & professional activities – effective at 12:01a on Thursday, April 2, 2020 to run through April 30, 2020. Manpower has been designated as an essential business, so we are here to help you meet your employment needs.

Honor Stay at Home Orders

-Leave your home only for essential activities including: getting groceries/gas, picking up prescriptions, going to medical appointments, caring for a loved one, and working.

Practice Good Hygiene

-Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  If soap and water are not readily available, use hand sanitizer.

-Cough/sneeze into a tissue and throw the tissue away.  If a tissue is not available, cough/sneeze into your elbow, not your hands.

-Stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick.

-Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

-Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects (like your cell phone) with household wipes/cleaners.

If You Are Ill

It is our hope that everyone stays healthy, but we also want to provide guidance according to the CDC on what to do if you are not feeling well.

-If experiencing any of the following symptoms, call ahead to a healthcare provider (your doctor, urgent care, ER) to describe your symptoms and get next steps:

-A fever over 100+ Degrees

-A cough

-Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, or other respiratory issues

-Body aches

-Sore throat

-Diarrhea

-Your healthcare provider will work with the Maine CDC to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19 and provide guidance on self-quarantining.

-If you have questions or want more information on current COVID-19 Guidance we encourage calling 211.

Specific Service-Level Guidance

Given that we serve the state in a number of capacities, we have also included additional guidance for the different groups we serve. Please select the appropriate link below that applies to your relationship with Manpower Maine.

You are all well aware that we are living in an unprecedented and uncertain time, and the best way to overcome a time like this is by leaning on each other for support. Together we will all get through this. We are here to help.
