Open Shifts:

  • Mon-Thu: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Your Role as a Machine Operator:

  • Set up & operate CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, CMMs)
  • Produce high-quality parts with close tolerances
  • Inspect products using precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings & NC programs
  • Perform material handling, rigging, and crane operations
  • Troubleshoot & maintain machines, ensuring smooth operations

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1+ year of CNC machining experience OR a machinist/toolmaker program certification
  • Strong mechanical aptitude & attention to detail
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings & use precision measuring tools

Our client in Sanford, Maine, is seeking skilled 3rd Shift Extrusion Operators with at least one year of experience running an extrusion line or similar machinery. If you have a keen eye for troubleshooting, along with SAP and MS Office knowledge, this direct-hire opportunity is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operating and troubleshooting the extrusion line and related equipment according to SOPs and system instructions
  • Identifying and resolving extrusion process issues to maintain product quality and efficiency
  • Recording operational data in SAP to ensure material accuracy and timely reporting
  • Contributing to OEE improvement teams to optimize production, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Inspecting packaged products to verify they meet manufacturing specifications and control plans
  • Logging repair requests and documentation for ongoing process improvements

Duties:

• Class A Commercial Driver’s license and Maine Inspection License required (Will support/train candidate to acquire)
• State of Maine Inspection License (can be obtained within a 6-month timeframe)
