Diesel Mechanic in Portland, Maine
Schedule: M-F 5a-1p or 8a-5p + potential on call/rotating weekends
Pay: $32 – $42 per hour, based on Experience

Duties:
• Performing general and preventative maintenance to CMV trucks, tractors, and trailers
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle mechanical issues such as brakes, suspension, air, and hydraulic systems
• Performing diagnostic troubleshooting to identify and repair diesel engines and resolve emissions issues
• Responding to road calls as necessary in the Southern Maine & New Hampshire region
Requirements:
• Diesel engine maintenance and repair experience
• Working knowledge of chassis, suspension, brake, and lift/hydraulic repair
• Welding, minor body repair, and light fabrication experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Five years of experience in inspection, brake and/or vehicle mechanic work on commercial vehicles with refrigeration experience a plus.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s license and Maine Inspection License required (Will support/train candidate to acquire)
• State of Maine Inspection License (can be obtained within a 6-month timeframe)
